La Mezquita - Catedral
The mosque of Córdoba, located right in the heart of the historic center of the city, is one of the greatest treasures of Muslim art in Spain. Its uniqueness comes from the mix of different architectural styles that followed one another during 9 centuries of building and renovation. The Great Mosque of Córdoba, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, is considered the largest Islamic building built in the West and the third biggest mosque in the world.

El Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos
The "Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs" is one the most important and amazing monuments of the city. Practically every different culture which throne Córdoba has lived is displayed in this palace, from the Roman period to the present. Consequently, the history of Córdoba is summed up through the walls of the castle-palace. Thanks to its favorable geographic location, it was converted into a fortress during the Roman Era. Then, when Córdoba became the capital of Al-Andalus when the Muslims arrived in the 8th century, it became the palace of the caliph. You can enjoy going for a walk in the 55,000
m2
of its gardens, typical of Arabic heritage. You will contemplate the palm trees, the cypresses, the orange trees and the lemon trees. As for the fountains and the ponds, they perfectly represent the culture of Córdoba.

The Royal Stables
Equestrian Show:
The passion & charm of the Andalusian horse.
The Royal Stables of Córdoba were created in 1570 by the King Felipe II, whose project was to create one of the best breeds ever: the Andalusian Horse.
The pure Spanish breed was much appreciated and very soon became the symbol of the Spanish Empire. Then the horses came back to Córdoba, their birth place. The show, performed in such an exceptional place as the Royal Stables of Córdoba is never to be forgotten.

The Palace
of Viana
This majestic house built in the 14th century differs from others by the impressive number of its patios (17) and by their artistic beauty. In its lounges, which surround a splendid garden, are exhibited oil paintings from the famous School of Brueghel, a splendid collection of China, antique house furnishings, sumptuous crockery, exotic ceramics, and a bookcase counting about 7,000 books.

Madinat Al-Zahra
Madinat Al-Zahra is a splendid and mysterious town ordered by the Caliph Abd-al-Rahman III. It is located at the foot of the Sierra Morena, some 5 km west of Córdoba. The legend tells that he decided to build this place for his favorite, Azahara.
A daily bus service will take you to the archeological site of Madinat Al-Zahra, one of the most incredible historic enclaves of Córdoba, proof of the past of this fabulous town. Before visiting the site, you can visit the Museum, which contains an auditorium (explaining the history of this archeological site with a modern way using the latest audiovisual techniques), and a selection of exhibits of the remains found during the excavations, as well as an area where the workshops are located.
